Evening school for adults

We offer Danish lessons for adult in the evenings.  Taught by experienced and tenacious Danish teachers in an informal and cozy setting, where Danish speech and understanding are taught with a focus on authentic situations and Danish culture. The approach to teaching is a mix of different methods, but the purpose at all levels is to convey the students' ability to express themselves, especially orally, in fluent and idiomatic Danish.

The classes are not a church activity, so everyone, regardless of religious background, can participate. To participate in classes, you must be covered by a membership of the church, that is, you are insured during classes.

You can sign up on the member page, price for 2025-26.

After membership, the price is £145 per term (£390 if you sign up for all 3 terms).

The course starts in the second week of September

The 5 levels take place:

Danish 1 Wednesday at 19.00 - 21.00 by Dorthe Black. (Beginner continues all 3 terms, i.e. you cannot start in terms 2 and 3.)

Danish 2 Tuesday at 19.00 - 21.00 by Dorthe Snedstrup Black

Danish 3 Tuesday at 19.00 - 21.00 by Karen Nystrøm Simonsen

Danish 4 Wednesday at 19.00 - 21.00 by Svend Kjær

Danish 5 Tuesday at 19.00 - 21.00 by Alette Rye Scales

The teaching takes place in the church's premises.
