Learn Danish at The Danish Church in London at the Evening School
Evening Danish classes run from September to July at The Danish Church in Regent’s Park. They are taught by experienced Danish language teaching professionals in an atmosphere of informality and ‘hygge’. Adult students of all ages and nationalities from a wide range of backgrounds benefit from these part-time Danish courses. You are welcome to join a Danish evening class in January for the second term, provided you already have some knowledge of Danish.
Our lessons focus on the Danish required for communicating in authentic situations with an emphasis on speaking and listening. Your progress will be assessed on an ongoing basis through homework, presentations and performance in class.
In order to attend these classes, you have to be a member of the Danish Church. The tuition fee is £340 for all three terms.
During autumn 2020 we introduced a new class: Danish 3!
The new Danish 3 is for you who have already attended Danish lessons for a minimum of two years. The old Danish 3 and Danish 4 are now resp. Danish 4/5 and Danish 6/7.
Levels - Spring term 2021:
Danish 1: Wednesdays: January 6 - March 31. No class February 17.
Danish 2: Tuesdays: January 5 - March 29. No class February 16.
New! Danish 3: Thursdays: January 7 - April 1. No class February 18.
Danish 4/5: Wednesdays: January 6 - March 31. No class February 17
Danish 6/7: Wednesdays: January 6 - March 31. No class February 17
Only Dansk 3 and Dansk 4/5 are held via the Danish Church. The other available classes begin in the same week.
Aftenskolen has since March 2020 conducted online classes on Skype and Zoom due to the Covid-19 situation.
At present we do not know when we can move back into the church so we will continue with the online classes in spring 2021.
