Evening school for adults
We offer Danish lessons for adults on weekday evenings. Classes are taught by experienced and tenacious Danish teachers in an informal and cozy setting focusing on speech and understanding. We use authentic situations to provide students with an insight into both Danish language and culture. The approach to teaching is a mix of different methods, but the purpose at all levels is for students to develop their ability to express themselves in fluent and idiomatic Danish.
Evening classes are not a church activity, so everyone, regardless of religious background, can participate. To participate in classes, please ensure that you have a valid membership for the duration of your course:

After membership, the price is £145 per term. A term covers 12 weeks, and there are three terms per year, with the school year beginning in September.
You can achieve a discount if you sign up for all 3 terms at the beginning of the school year (£390 for all three terms).

Dates for the first term, school year 2026/27:
Tuesday 15/9 – 8/12 (no class on 27/10)
Wednesday 16/9 – 9/12 (no class on 28/10)
Thursday 17/9 – 10/12 (no class on 29/10)
Dates for the second term, school year 2026/27:
Tuesday 5/1 – 30/3 (no class on 16/2)
Wednesday 6/1 – 31/3 (no class on 17/2)
Thursday 7/1 – 1/4 (no class on 18/2)
Dates for the third term, school year 2026/27:
Tuesday 13/4 – 6/7 (no class on 18/5)
Wednesday 14/4 – 7/7 (no class on 19/5)
Thursday 15/4 – 8/7 (no class on 20/5)
Please note that the dates above may change over the course of the semester should external factors such as strikes or adverse weather prevent classes from going ahead.
