Traditions

We offer a wide range of

social events,

cultural activities

and opportunities to experience and celebrate Danish traditions.

Everyday Life
Every Sunday, we serve lunch at 12 noon, often featuring traditional Danish open sandwiches (smørrebrød) and coffee.
We have a small shop selling Danish design, crafts and food, as well as a second-hand bookstall with a selection of Danish literature looking for new readers.
Our Church Hall hosts exhibitions featuring artists associated with our community.
We have several social groups that meet regularly. Some are organised by the church, while others are run by our members. Everyone is welcome to join in. We also host events for other Danish organisations in London.

-And we are always open to new ideas and initiatives if there are activities or interests that we do not yet cater for.

Danish Traditions
Throughout the year, we celebrate some of the most important Danish festivals and traditions, with activities for the whole family. These include Christmas, Fastelavn (a Danish version of carnival) and Sankt Hans (Midsummer).
Every year, we host the Danish Fair, the church's largest fundraising event and an important part of our community life. More than 100 volunteers help make the day possible, and we welcome over 1,000 visitors.

Danish Guests & Culture

Throughout the year, we invite Danish speakers, musicians, actors and comedians to London, giving our community the opportunity to experience and keep up with the latest developments in Danish culture.

Do I have to be religious to take part?

No. Our cultural events are open to everyone. You do not need to be a Christian or a member of the church to participate.

When can I visit the shop or bookstall?

Unfortunately, our opening hours are limited due to a lack of resources. We therefore recommend visiting when the church is already open for activities, such as Saturday School or Sunday services and lunch.
If you would like to visit the shop or bookstall at another time, please feel free to contact us to arrange an appointment.

Do you accept donations for the bookstall and Danish Fair?

Yes! We are always grateful for donations, and the proceeds from sales help support the church.
However, our storage space is very limited, so we can only accept recent Danish fiction and children's books, as well as sought-after Danish design items in good condition.
Please send us photos of any items you would like to donate before arranging a drop-off. This allows us to assess whether we have the space and capacity to accept them.
