Language and identity go hand in hand

Danes who have children in London very often have a strong wish for them to learn Danish, but in practice it is often a difficult project. And parents who arrive in London with Danish speaking children often experience difficulties in maintaining their Danish level.
Since 1970 the Danish Church’s Saturday School has been teaching Danish to children of all age groups. Every year up to 100 children, divided into groups according to age and language level, come here for lessons.
Adults who wish to learn Danish can also get tuition at the Danish Church.
