Usually the Christening takes place during the Sunday Service at 11am. Before the ceremony you will arrange a meeting with the pastor who will baptize you child. You will need to bring the child’s birth certificate, the parents’ baptism or name certificate and if you are married also the wedding certificate. After the Christening your child receives a baptism certificate and is registered in the Official Church Register. Please also bring the names and addresses of three to five Godparents. They are witnesses of the Christening and must have been baptized themselves, e.g. Lutheran, Anglican or Catholic.

It is also possible to have the Christening on a Saturday during a specially arranged service. The cost is £ 250 plus £ 180 for the organist and two singers.
